Notably, Tiger Woods had registered a victory at the East Lake in 2018 at the Tour Championship. He got himself inside the bunker on the final hole. But thanks to his consistent performance, especially on the final day, he had a decent cushion and eventually won the event by two strokes.
However, Rina Tatematsu avoided the bunker during the main event. She made an exceptional eagle on the final hole at East Lake and won the women’s championship. Moreover, this eagle ended up being the lone eagle of the tournament, which is an incredible achievement.
