American tennis player, Venus Williams has been one of the most notable players on the Tour. The way she has competed over the past two decades has been second to none. Besides Venus, her sister Serena has enjoyed tremendous success during all these years. 

Recently, there was a movie ‘King Richard’ based on the life of her father Richard Williams. Besides her father, the movie outlines the stories of Venus and her sister Serena’s childhood too.

Venus Williams is inseparable from her father

Venus really liked the scenes which involved parts of hers and her father. They were some emotional moments and they will always be remembered as she loves her father tremendously. 

Speaking on this subject, Williams stated, “The dad-daughter moments are my favorite parts. They’re so special, and I love my dad so much, it’s nice to have those concrete in memory and history.”

About the movie, the actor playing the role of Richard is none other than Hollywood superstar Will Smith. For the movie, Will went out of his way in studying and analyzing the struggle of the great man who made his daughters world-class athletes. 

Coming to tennis, Venus has not played much tennis in recent months. She has been dealing with injuries that have forced her to skip the last two Grand Slam tournaments. 

Prior to that, she was seen at the Wimbledon Championships and did not impress as she crashed out in the second round. She even registered dismal performances at the French Open and the Australian Open last season. 

Nonetheless, the career that Williams has had so far is something that athletes dream about. Whenever she decides to step back on the court again, fans will cherish the occasion. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her in action soon.
