While people are excited to see the debut singles faceoff between Keys and Gauff, these two American tennis players have been friends for long. They also trained together during their childhood in Delray Beach, where Gauff was born and Parks relocated for her training in the sport.

Gauff recalled their bonding as she said- “I have known her for a long time, since I was maybe 9 years old. Used to practice with her and her sister,  know her very well. I always root for her … obviously, not for the next match.” While Parks fell short of remembering the training, she totally recalled Gauff’s practice right next to her court in childhood.
