Conor McGregor isn’t the only fighter to have KO victories across three different weight divisions. AT UFC 246, McGregor knocked out Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds to register his first knockout win at 170. In the process, Conor became the first UFC fighter to pick up KO wins in the featherweight, lightweight and welterweight division. However, he is not the first fighter to achieve such an incredible feat at three different weight classes.
Conor McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo at UFC 194. In doing so, he put a stop to Aldo’s undefeated streak of over ten years. At UFC 205, Conor McGregor knocked out Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight championship. After the win, Conor became the first UFC fighter to hold championship belts in two divisions simultaneously. And at UFC 246, Conor McGregor made a spectacular return to the octagon when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in mere 40 seconds into the first round.

Jared Cannonier is a middleweight UFC fighter who is currently on a three-fight winning streak. Cannonier has KO wins at heavyweight, lightweight, and middleweight division. He has picked up KO victories in his previous three fights and is among the top title contenders. Cannonier knocked out Cyril Asker at 245 and later finished Nick Roehrick with elbows in the third round at The Ultimate Fighter 29 Finale at 204 pounds. He was scheduled to face former middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker. However, the match fell apart after Whittaker pulled out of the fight due to personal reasons.

On an interesting note, Vitor Belfort has also managed to pick up KO victories across three weight divisions. The former UFC champion never competed in the heavyweight division for UFC after losing to Randy Couture at UFC 15, back in 1997. Belfort would later pick up multiple victories at middleweight and light heavyweight division.

So TheMacLife and Conor McGregor might be promoting Conor as the first fighter to achieve the feat, however, Jared Cannonier and Vitor Belfort deserve equal credit.
