Counter Strike Global Offensive: FaZe Coldzera Obliterates Mouseports in ESL One

The Counter Strike Global Offensive tournament, ESL One: Road to Rio is well underway, as the mixtures pitted FaZe against mouseports today. FaZe has truly overturned their fortunes from earlier this year. They have now won their fourth consecutive Regional Major Ranking game with a 2-0 win over mouseports. Unsurprisingly, Marcelo “coldzera” David played a starring role in their dominant display today.

The series started off with Mirage, as FaZe kick-started their map pick on the Terrorist side. Despite having been forced into an eco-round after going don 1-3, mouseports managed to pull off a victory thanks to David “frozen” Čerňanský. That round gave them a major boost, enabling them to take the lead.

However, mouseports’ lead did not last long too long as coldzera pulled off an amazing 1v4 clutch. FaZe took the half 8-7. They won the pistol round after the switch and continued their dominance, this time on the CT side. Coldzera once again put on an amazing show to lead FaZe to 8-3 to take the map 16-10.

Mouseport went with Train for their map pick. Playing on the CT side, FaZe was pushed into a second-round forced buy. However, they won the round and quickly took control of the series once again. Having gone down 3-8, mouseports did manage to show some fight back, however, FaZe won the half convincingly with 9-3.
FaZe was not about to let their control slip after the switch. They obliterated mouseports with a 7-1 win on the T side, winning Train with a scoreline of 16-7.
Coldzera was the star performer without a doubt. He dazzled us with his typically skilled display, ending the series with a 49-21 K/D and an ADR of 90.1.

With their fourth consecutive win, FaZe now sit on top of Group B, while mouseports are down on sixth.
The top four teams of the Group will advance to the playoffs of the Counter Strike Global Offensive tournament.
