Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina was all praises for his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.

Raina and Dhoni have been playing together for a very long time and both know each other quite well. Recently Raina lauded MS Dhoni for his captaincy and amazing inputs from behind the wickets.

MS Dhoni is an asset for Chennai Super Kings. He has been handling the captaincy of CSK for the past ten years. Out of 10 times, CSK has reached the finals 8 times and 3 times won the title.

Raina said, “Every move he makes is spot on. He knows how to use different bowlers in different situations, controls everything from behind the stumps. MS watches everything closely,”

He further talked about his improvement in the franchise.

The vice-captain added, “I improved over the years playing for CSK I got to play with so many quality left-handers-(Mathew Hayden), (Michael) Hussey, (Stephen) Fleming, Albie (Morkel), Kepler Wessels (CSK coach in 2008), Ravindra Jadeja,”

MS Dhoni has a lot of cricket left in him: Suresh Raina

In an Instagram live chat with SportsTak, Suresh Raina put forward his views on MS Dhoni playing the T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.

MS has not played competitive cricket after the semi-final match of World Cup 2019. Therefore, there have been speculations regarding his position in the Indian team.

Talking about the same, Raina shared his experience of playing with Dhoni in CSK’s training camp.

He revealed, “He still has a lot of cricket left in him. It would be best if he answers this question with his bat. He was trying to be innovative with his shots and kept changing his game depending on whether he was facing a spinner or a pacer. We played practice games and those sixes were as big as they were before.”

Chennai Super Kings had started their training session from March 2 but had to suspend it after the outbreak of coronavirus in India. Also, the BCCI had now officially postponed the IPL 2020 for an indefinite time owing to the lockdown in the country till May 3.
