India and Australia are scheduled to battle it out on-field for 4 Test matches, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is. Now, it seems as though the host, Cricket Australia, will be asking BCCI for a 5-match Test series. Unfortunately, CA will lose 300 million Australian dollars if the series with India does not go ahead.

During the live session, Rohit Sharma reveals that he loves playing against Australia in their home conditions.

“I love playing against Australia, when we won the series in Australia the last time we toured there, it was a very big achievement. Obviously you were not there, we are looking for the series against Australia this year.”

Moreover, during the live session with David Warner, he said that it will be great if BCCI and CA can find a way to make the series happen. Sharma feels that a series between India and Australia is a great way to restart cricket after the pandemic ends.

There is still a possibility for IPL 2020 to happen

Coming to the other tournament that is hanging by the ropes, Sharma have his opinion about Indian Premier League as well. He is a key player of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. In fact, MI was supposed to play the first match of IPL 2020. However, most of the time the Indian player largely focuses on how much he wants to play at Australia.

“IPL may also happen, but I do not know the exact month and date. I am really looking forward to the Australian tour, we love coming to Australia and playing against you guys. Once we land in Australia, nothing comes easy, it is one of my favourite places in the world.”
