Coronavirus is a fatal disease that is spreading rapidly all over the world. Due to the coronavirus outbreak in India, the entire nation has been locked down for 21 days from March 25, 2020 (Wednesday). Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the lockdown in the country on March 24 at 8 pm. The deadly virus has affected 582 people till now while 11 people have lost their lives in India.?
The novel COVID-19 has affected the sporting industry as well. Almost every sports event in the country has either been postponed or canceled.?

Amidst these testing times, Sourav Ganguly quoted, “If the government asks us, we will certainly hand over the facility. Anything that is need of the hour, we will do it. There is absolutely no problem,?.?
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not made any monetary contribution to help the government in these difficult times. On being asked about the same, Ganguly replied that he will have a word with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah before making a call.
