The former CS: GO caster, analyst, and a former CS: Source player, Henry ‘HenryG’ Greer, announced the end of his career with the iconic eSports organization Cloud 9. HenryG performed the role of General Manager of the organization’s CS: GO division for eight months. Today the former Counter-Strike Source pro announced that he will be parting ways with Cloud 9 and thanked the organization for providing him with the necessary opportunities.
HenryG has fulfilled his role since the month of September last year. Once he took up the mantle, he revamped the entire CS: GO roster for Cloud 9. Starting with Alex ‘ALEX’ McMeekin, he signed several other European pros like Özgür ‘woxic’ Eker from Mousesports, and William ‘mezii’ Merriman from GamerLegion. Furthermore, he successfully added former Astralis pro Patrick ‘Es3tag’ Hansen to the C9 CS: GO roster.
Today's the day that @Cloud9 and myself will be parting ways.
Thanks to @JackEtienne for the opportunity and the players for their hard work and time.
It's truly a shame how things panned out with a lot of mitigating circumstances but plenty of positive memories, too.

However, the roster saw a fair share of its bad days soon after. The team failed to perform well at the Flashpoint Season 2, although they did have somewhat of a comeback at the Blast Premier Fall 2020 Showdown. Subsequently, kassad and woxic dropped from the roster, leaving it uncertain yet again. This led to a lot of recombinations in the roster yet again, resulting in underperformance.

Cloud 9 decided to dissolve the current roster last week. Most of the players are currently on the transfer list. Of course, the pandemic situation that arose last year had a major hand in this. Furthermore, the remote training program that the roster undertook failed to show in the team’s overall performance.
These are the events that preceded Henry taking his leave from one of the most iconic eSports organizations. However, he makes it clear in his tweet that this might be a hiatus. From the tweet, it seems that he plans on returning to the organization if the time is right.

While the space is in this strange transition period I have decided to take a sabbatical and enjoy some of the normality that life has to offer. It's certainly been a while.
I will be back eventually when the right opportunity arises.
Be good to each other.
RIP Cobain.
