Things have been heating up in the current CS: GO scene as another war of words flared up on Twitter between two well-known names. Pronax and Karrigan are both popular and famous figures from the world of competitive CS: GO and have been former teammates with Fnatic.

Pronax recently posted a clip on Twitter from what seems to be an interview of Karrigan where he says if he cannot compete to become the best, he would rather stop than be looked upon as a ‘Pronax’ by the community.

Pronax accompanied these words with a tweet, lol @karriganCSGO old teammate, you will never manage anything close to what I have done in cs/esports. I’d be surprised if you are remembered at all a few years after you quit.

Pronax is no doubt a legendary figure for many fans, especially those who still remember his prime form during his Fnatic days. On the other hand, Karrigan has carved out a reputation for himself in the game too.

Karrigan replied to Pronax’s tweets, claiming that the clip is a fake. He further urged the community not to believe everything they read or see on the internet. He added that he is not one to trash talk about his fellow players.

However, he vowed to unfollow Pronax.

What does the CS: GO community think of the entire deal?

Obviously, this tweet has sparked debate among the forums and CS: GO communities, with both sides of the story getting plenty of support. However, some have pointed out that the clip is actually from long ago, and that it makes no sense to retaliate to it now.

“Edited or not, to be so suddenly triggered by an old interview of an unfavourable opinion says more about pronax than Karrigan. Someone who feels secured and mentally stable would just disregard this comment. The fact that he feels the need to come back at someone who he feels is vastly inferior to his achievements show that he needs to get help ASAP”

Indeed, Pronax has been having mental health issues, which have forced him to stay aloof from his duties at Godsent, of which he is a founder. The CEO of Godsent had announced this on Twitter.

In any case, the forums have made it clear that his fans will not forget the splendid exploits from his successful career in the game.
