Cyberpunk 2077 is now just hours away from release. It was quite possibly the most hyped game of all time and will finally launch across the globe. Night City will soon be yours for the taking as you join Johnny Silverhand to burn the city down. However, as exciting as the game looks, there are certain precautions that you have to take while playing the game.

Reports suggesting that the game can trigger epileptic seizures have surfaced. These were definitely not a hoax, considering extended periods of gaming can induce such triggers. The consoles usually come with their own warning about epileptic episodes; however, Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that may trigger some of it as well.

This is quite possibly due to the game’s visuals, where flickering lights can usually trigger an episode. Gameinformer mentioned how these triggers work and how to work your way around it. Given the visual fidelity of Cyberpunk 2077, players are prone to such episodes.

The moment these reports started surfacing, CDPR jumped to action to acknowledge it. On a Twitter statement, the studio stated, “Thank you for bringing this up. We’re working on adding a separate warning in the game, aside from the one that exists in the EULA (https://cyberpunk.net/en/user-agreement/…). Regarding a more permanent solution, Dev team is currently exploring that and will be implementing it as soon as possible.”

This was an example of how quick responses to such crucial aspects of the game work in the developer’s favor. This is definitely a welcome move by CDPR, where it is going the extra mile to ensure that such triggers are not a common sight. Additionally, the developers have also promised that they’re working on a more permanent solution for this.

This was definitely a win for CDPR and they needed one, especially after the constant delays that CP 2077 went through. The game’s initial reviews suggest that it has a lot of bugs and needs work, but things should definitely be different after the Day 0 patch. CDPR will definitely want their most ambitious project to be bug-free at launch.

Time to get your guns ready and take over Night City, Samurai.
