After quite a rough path, Cygames has finally re-revealed its RPG title, Granblue Fantasy: Relink. The game has been under development for over two years now, and at one point its future seemed bleak at best. However, at the recent Granblue Fantasy Festival 2020, the publisher announced a new release window and platform for it. As of now, Cygames is expected to launch the game in 2022, on the PS4 as well as the PS5.

The development of the game has been quite challenging, as is evident from its two-year-long production span. Previously, Platinum Games, the studio that has delivered iconic RPG titles like Bayonetta and Scalebound, had taken on the role of developing the game. However, back in 2019, Cygames announced that it had dropped Platinum Games from the production of this project.

Since then, Cygames has been developing the game itself, and this is the first-ever proper look of the game. It was not easy, with the pandemic situation at large, on top of everything. But we have got to say, the game looks promising.

Cygames have re-revealed their fantasy RPG title Granblue Fantasy: Relink for both PS4 and PS5
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is currently in its Alpha stage of development. It is playable at this point while the pre-production for the game is underway. A limited amount of characters, maps, items, and features are available currently. However, at this stage players can experience a small portion of the core gameplay in near-finished quality.
We are pretty sure this game will be a treat for fantasy RPG lovers. Moreover, the powerful hardware of the PS5 will only add to the gameplay experience. All this to say, we just can’t wait!
