CARS Tour, owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., is not devoid of chaos. Heated confrontations on the track lead to intense post-race brawls, examples of which have dotted previous seasons across racetracks. Recently, the zMAX CARS Tour double feature at Southern National Motorsports Park became a scene of conflict. The race winner found himself becoming the target of an angered rival – but Dale Earnhardt’s granddaughter was standing right by for help.

“It actually was my sister that you see in the video, that is flinging him backwards with Josh…I was on the other side when he was at the window,” Karsyn Elledge, granddaughter of Dale Earnhardt Sr., clarified about a post-race scuffle last weekend.

Caden Kvapil won the Folsom Fence Supply 125 for the CARS Late Model Stock Tour. After the race’s final restart, Kvapil faced a tough fight with Doug Barnes Jr. The latter lined up to Kvapil’s outside and drew even coming out of turn two. As the two drivers raced through three and four, Kvapil’s car moved up the track, squeezing Barnes into the wall. This eventually allowed Kvapil to pull away with the win – but also ruffled Barnes Jr.’s feathers.

After finishing third, a disappointed Barnes was seen walking up to Kvapil while he was still strapped to his car. He proceeded to slide his hands inside and shove his rival, but was promptly stopped by CARS Tour officials – primarily Karsyn Elledge and her sister, Kennedy. The video went viral on social media, with fans applauding Karsyn’s strength. However, she confirmed on ‘Door, Bumper, Clear’ that the face visible in the video was her sister’s.

Nevertheless, Karsyn was equally involved in defusing tensions. “At first, I thought they were gonna come up and have some heated conversations, get in the window, say, Hey, f— you man, whatever, and then walk away. I was gonna give him the opportunity to do that. But the second his hands went in the window, I was like, Alright. So I grab around his arm, I muscle him around as hard as I can with my body just away. Then I see Kennedy, she’s staring like this, and he falls into her arms and Josh’s arms, and they just finished him the rest of the way off.”

Clearly, the Intimidator’s spirit gave off faint flashes at the CARS Tour race. Karsyn and Kennedy, daughters of Kelley Earnhardt Miller and granddaughters of Dale Earnhardt, displayed their bravado,

While they snuffed out the brawl, the race winner put in some of his own efforts to defuse tensions.

Owning up to his mistake

Caden Kvapil did a remarkable job at the CARS Tour race. He meticulously worked his way through the field from the 29th starting spot, soon after taking the lead from Lee Pulliam on the backstretch on the race’s 107th lap. Then, Kvapil survived a series of late-race restarts and challenges to hold on for the win. However, in his drive for glory, Kvapil admitted to getting a little aggressive with one rival.

After Doug Barnes Jr. displayed his frustration, and Dale Earnhardt’s granddaughters stopped him, Caden Kvapil gave his own version of the story.

“He was a little upset, which I would be too,” Kvapil said. “He had a good restart, and I got into [turn] three a little deep, hit some water, and slid up into his door. My right front made contact with his left front, and it just kind of connected us. I was trying to steer out of it, the whole corner. Unfortunately, I got him into the wall and probably hurt his car a little bit.” He added, “I’m sorry to him.”

The CARS Tour brawl may have started on a rough note, but ended amicably. The presence of Dale Earnhardt’s family made it smoother – let’s see what issues they handle in the future.
