The rise in the stardom of Mac Jones created a fuss among the critics about a series of poor performances by Cam Newton lately. Questioning his ineffective gameplay throughout the 2020 season and the preseason as well. However, his eight touchdowns with 10 interceptions and an 82.9 passer rating last season may be a result of the coach not able to bring the best out of a player.

The Cowboys’ rejection of the rumor seems a little more for the released veteran to deal with. His journey from winning a league MVP in 2015 to now being a free agent with no one to claim seems a bit harsh for the player to deal with.

With McCarthy’s statement, they look all set for the season to start with no intentions of signing a new player. Although, for Newton, it’s all about getting the likes of a coach who compliments his style of play.
