

Daniel Cormier in this week’s edition of Ariel Helwani’s MMA show discussed his very unique interest in the early 60s television show “The Beverley Hillbillies”
Daniel Cormier sat down with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani and discussed what he watches nowadays to keep himself occupied. Speaking of an incident he shared with Cormier, Helwani brought up how during one for their conversations he found out that Daniel Cormier is still hooked on to 1960’s television classic.
Targeting a specific answer, Helwani posed the question, “What do you do in your room?” Giving us a straight forward answer Cormier said video games. But hoping for an even more specific answer he again asked, “What do you watch?”

This question almost instantaneously sent the duo into a fit of laughter. They both knew what was coming and couldn’t hold back their giggles.

Justifying his interest in the show Cormier said, “Damn I’ve been watching the Beverly Hillbillies. And I didn’t seek it put just to be clear. I was just going through Hulu and I was like ’Oh I wonder if this is funny to me today as it was when I was a kid’ it was on free TV!”

He went on to say, “Guess what? It’s even funnier! It is the funniest show. It’s so funny I watch it all day long. If I’m not playing video games I’m watching the Beverly Hillbillies. I have not watched anything between 2018 and 2020 that has entertained me more than The Beverly Hillbillies.”

He even compared the show to what some people might consider the best show yet, The Game of Thrones. He says he has just started watching it recently, and if there’s on show that matches up to the level of entertainment that show provides, it has to be The Beverly Hillbillies.
