During the Azerbaijan GP, an incident took place involving Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat. The Renault driver was lining up a move of Kvyat when he got it wrong and out-braked himself.

Since Ricciardo had dived down the inside, Daniil Kvyat had nowhere to go and both went wide. Then, something bizarre occurred, where Ricciardo apparently reversed into the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat. Needless to say, Kvyat was not amused at all by the stunt and made it very clear.

Speaking to the media after the race, Daniil Kvyat affirmed that he has a lot of respect for Ricciardo. He admitted that he has no problems with the Australian driver and they were teammates before.

However, he did say that Ricciardo needed to learn about patience and there was a long straight coming up. Also, the corner was very tight and since Ricciardo went wide, Kvta was forced to go with him.

At that point, Kvyat jokingly said that next time he will buy Ricciardo a rear-view mirror.
