Daniil Medvedev displays incredible composure
In the third set, things went similar to the opening set. The winner had to be decided by playing out a tiebreaker. When the tiebreaker began, Medvedev was all over it, winning 7-2 with ease.
With that, the match went into the fourth set. Both players were playing with real intent. At 4-5 in the fourth set, Medvedev saved a match point and won the game to make it 5-5. In the next game, Daniil got the break and served it out to claim the fourth set, 7-5.

The winner of the match had to be decided in the fifth and final set. As the match went on, Daniil looked stronger and got the break in the third game. After close to 5 hours, it was Medvedev who sealed the set 6-4. This was the first comeback by a player from being two sets down to eventually win the match at this year’s Australian Open 2022.
Next up for Medvedev, he will face Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinal on Friday. We wish both players the best of luck.
