Derrick Henry Injury Update: Gigantic News for Tennessee Titans Fans Ahead of Playoffs

The Tennessee star running back Derrick Henry is under talks to return to the 53-man roster of the Titans. Henry is designated to return from the injured reserve Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini. Although it is unlikely for him to play in the season finale against the Houston Texans, but his presence will be much needed during the playoffs.
The Titans have clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC as they head towards the playoffs. However, the standings are yet to be finalized based on season finale outcomes. But the Titans look mighty already with the backing of the beast, Henry.

It was after Henry jogged on the grass last week and went through a light workout on Monday that Titans feel he is ready to return for practice, as per the sources. However, there is a 21-day window within which the running back can be added to the 53-man active roster.

However, according to Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans are still discussing further details on his potential return. He further said that the Titans will be able to “make a decision mid-week.” Although the Titans seem to be mighty already, but the addition of Derrick Henry will only make it worse for the opponents.

Henry has been an absolute beast on the field this season. At the time of his injury, the running back had rushed for a league-leading 937 yards. Surprisingly, he still ranks sixth among all the running backs this season, despite missing eight games.

Henry picked up a fractured foot during his Week 8 clash against the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans were able to seal a 34-31 win against them but on the contrary, lost Henry to the injured reserve. During his absence, RB D’Onta Foreman took the reins and has rushed for 497 yards since Week 8.
