Destiny 2 saw the end of a major storyline in Season of the Splicer this week with the Expunge mission in Delphi. Fans waited a long time to battle it out with Quria, the Dreaming Mind. Players have seen this character play a massive part in the storyline with the events that happened in Dreaming City. Along with that, the Vex Taken Mind was also causing the Endless Night in the Last City.

But fans received a rather anti-climactic ending with Quria, as players easily defeated her in the Expunge mission. With the help of characters like Mithrax, Lakshmi, Saint-14, and Osiris, the Guardians didn’t even break a sweat to defeat a villain that has loomed over their heads for so long. So is this really the end of the Season of the Splicer storyline?

The events following the death of Quria, the Dreaming Mind in Destiny 2
After defeating Quria, the Dreaming Mind in Delphi, everyone had jubilant reactions to the victory. Fans had waited a long time to suit up as a Guardian to exact revenge for the events that took place in Dreaming City. Along with that, with her death, the Endless Night should disperse quickly from the Last City. As Lakshmi stated in Destiny 2, the death of Quria is a massive win for humanity and the Fallen.

But she also mentioned that this was the end of a battle and not the entire war. Many players know that Quria was just a pawn in the master plan made by Savathun, the Witch Queen. They know about her existence for a long while even though she has never appeared in the game. In a recent lore, it was confirmed that Savathun is disguised as a prominent character, and many believe that she might be living as Osiris.

Lakshmi and her doubts about the Fallen
The relationship between humanity and the Fallen has always been quite testy. During the events of Season of the Splicer, the tensions have decreased a lot between them. But Lakshmi is still wary of the Fallen, and she hopes that they leave the City soon. But, recently, she has also received some visions while staring at the Device.

In the most recent lore entry titled Prediction, Lakshmi received premonitions of a betrayal from the Fallen. She believes that it isn’t the end, even though they have defeated Quria, the Dreaming Mind, and she wants to be prepared for the worst. However, with the tensions between humanity and the Fallen being at their lowest, the likelihood of that happening is quite low.

But with the lack of a massive ending to the story of Quria, the Dreaming Mind, fans believe that this might not be the end. With Savathun roaming around in the City, it’s very likely that Bungie has one last surprise in store for players, and as Lakshmi has stated in the game, the storm hasn’t gone yet.
