It’s been a few days since Bungie released the Vault of Glass Raid for Destiny 2. The Raid returned to the franchise as it was a part of the first title of the series, and it’s been a hit among the fans. For the loot rewards, Bungie has added in a lot of weapons from the original game, such as the Vision of Confluence, Correct Measure, and many more.

It also brought back the Praedyth’s Revenge Sniper Rifle to Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer. The Praedyth’s Revenge is a game-changer, and it shifts the sniper meta towards its favor. It is the highest damage-outputting weapon in its class and is a must-have for PvE modes.

What makes Praedyth’s Revenge so good in Destiny 2

Players can get the Praedyth’s Vision Sniper Rifle as a loot reward from the Vault of Glass Raid. It specifically drops from the Oracle’s Encounter in the middle of the Raid and the final boss battle with Atheon. There are a lot of weapons to go for like the Hezen Vengeance and the Fatebringer, but the best from the lot might be this Sniper Rifle.

The weapon is an absolute beast in Destiny 2 because of the insane damage its God Roll deals with. There are certain traits to look out for in the Praedyth’s Revenge, but the most important might be the Rewind Round Perk. With this trait, players will receive refills based on the number of hits they get, when the magazine is empty. In the Praedyth’s Revenge, the Rewind Round refills half of the shots that hit the target. So, for example, if someone hits all seven shots of their magazine, then they will get four more to use.

If players can consistently damage the enemies, especially bosses or mini-bosses, then they receive a very good boost of shots with this trait. So if they somehow hit all their enemies, then instead of just seven, they receive 13 bullets before they have to reload the magazine, which is almost unheard of in a sniper rifle. Even with reloading, they don’t have to worry, because the weapon can do that quickly as it’s part of the Rapid-Frame Archetype.

Perks to pair with Rewind Rounds on the Praedyth’s Revenge God Roll

Players have to look out for two perks that can join Rewind Rounds on the God Roll. One of them is Frenzy which increases damage, handling, and reloads for the weapon after being in combat mode for an extended period. With the Praedyth’s Revenge, players receive a 15 percent boost in damage per shot because of this trait.

The other trait that can be paired with Rewind Rounds is High-Impact Reserves. With this trait, players will receive damage boosts to the last four bullets of the magazine, and along with that, the last bullets receive more with a 26 percent damage boost. This matters a lot with Rewind Rounds, as players will receive these shots once the magazine is empty, and hence it’s extremely useful. Players should be happy with any of these two perks but the High-Impact Reserves trait is slightly better than Frenzy.
