Savathun is one of the Hive Gods, an alien species that worship and serve the Darkness. She is sister to Xivu Arath, the God of War, and Oryx, the Taken King. The Hive destroys worlds and civilizations in order to live because of the Worms that feed on it while living inside them.

She was born as Sathona on the planet Fundement. She and her siblings were the children of King Osmium. They had to flee their kingdom after the Helium Drinkers killed their father. While escaping, they reached the core of Fundement, where they met the Worm Gods. The Gods then offered them immortality by allowing the Worms to live off them as symbiotes and then spread it across the Proto-Hive. After they accepted it, Sathona morphed into Savathun.

Now, Savathun wants to kill off humanity to feed the Worm inside her, but the Guardians are in her way. Fans haven’t seen her yet even though she has appeared in lore pages. But it seems like the Witch-Queen who is known for her trickery will reveal her disguise soon in Destiny 2. Bungie has serious plans with her, as she will be important in a rumored The Witch Queen expansion set to release this year, and fans can’t wait to see her.
