The second season of laver Cup took place in Chicago, USA this year. The resurged king from Serbia, Djokovic played his first season of the Laver Cup. It was a great experience for him. Also, he was delighted to lift the trophy. “It’s hard to pick a moment or a highlight”, Djokovic said.”As everyone was mentioning, I think every single moment that we spend with each other on and off the court was quite refreshing and was quite interesting and exciting because we got to know each other. Having a legend, Björn Borg, sitting on the bench and having Roger and the other guys supporting you after every single point, standing up and cheering you on and having John McEnroe on the opposite bench, it’s quite unique. It’s almost like a perfect tennis dream.”

Moreover, Djokovic was grateful to play tennis for a long time at its apex. It was a pleasure for him to shared different things with Roger related to tennis, life, family, football, and just joking around. Also dancing and singing during the three days spent together was a lot of fun. “It was a wonderful experience and a unique concept, but emotionally, mentally and physically quite demanding,” Djokovic added.

In addition to that, the tennis players from Team World also enjoyed their experience in Chicago. “I really hope that we can have another chance to get together.” Nick Kyrgios said. “For me, just a lot of fun. I was looking forward to this week. As soon as it ended last year I just had my eye on it the whole year. I didn’t really know how we were going to go this year, but then after seeing how Kevin had the massive win over Novak, I thought that really kick-started the comeback. We started to believe as soon as he won yesterday that we could win this whole event.”

Presently, Djokovic has skipped to China Open in order to take some rest and prepare for Shanghai Masters. He did not have much time to relax after his groundbreaking performance in the US Open. Djokovic is spending some time in Serbia with his family and simultaneously gearing up from other events.
