Eugenie Bouchard is one of the most popular players in the tennis world. After winning the junior Wimbledon Championships in 2012, she became a senior pro the next year. Since then, she has won six ITF singles titles and a WTA title.

One of her best years came in 2014 when she reached the semi-finals of the French Open and Australian Open and also reached the finals of the Wimbledon. In doing so, she became the first Canadian-born player representing Canada to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament in singles. She eventually lost to Petra Kvitova.

Bouchard received the WTA Most Improved Player award for the 2014 season and reached a career-high ranking of No. 5. She became the first Canadian female tennis player to be ranked in the top 5 in singles.

The Atlanta Falcons were leading 21-0 against New England Patriots during the year’s Super Bowl final when Bouchard tweeted “I knew Atlanta would win btw.”

A student from University of Missouri, John Goehrke, commented below Bouchard’s tweet asking her on a date if the Patriots win.

Quite miraculously, the Patriots won the Super Bowl, and quite surprisingly, Bouchard went on a date with him.

She spent an evening with him watching a basketball match between Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

“We were supposed to be on the Kiss Cam, but I guess we missed our opportunity. I was pretty nervous leading up to the actual meeting. After I met Genie at the hotel and we got acquainted, I think it all went pretty smooth,” the college student was quoted as saying after his lucky date.

In September 2019, the Sun reported that Bouchard started dating Connor Davis. They had spotted Bouchard and Davis kissing on Miami beach.

An investment banker by profession, he was said to be the brother of American supermodel and former tennis player Hannah Jeter.
