Spanish tennis sensation Rafael Nadal has been dealing with quite a few complications lately. Over the past few months, he has been on the sidelines due to a foot injury. He did come back to Abu Dhabi but felt ill upon his return home.

However, now Rafael Nadal has arrived in Melbourne. It is a clear indication that he will compete in the first Grand Slam event of the season. There are speculations that he will be featuring in the ATP 250 event in the city too.

Sign of relief for Rafael Nadal fans 

Not long ago, fans were worried if they would see Nadal compete in Australia after him reporting unwell. Nonetheless, it all seems positive right now and he has touched down in Melbourne and hit the practice courts straight away.

Reflecting over the past 12 months in his journey, Nadal began the year by making it to the quarterfinal of the Australian Open. After that, he did not live up to his usual standards at the French Open and lost to Djokovic in the semifinal.

Since then, he has not competed in any Grand Slam event and skipped the Wimbledon Championships, followed by the US Open. He was suffering from a foot injury. The tennis superstar was most recently seen in Abu Dhabi.

Well, now that he has landed in Melbourne, it provides tennis fans great news as he will be competing to claim his 2nd Australian Open title. We wish him all the best for the upcoming 2022 season.
