Dr Disrespect Might Return to Twitch Following Phantoml0rd’s Historic Lawsuit Victory

Twitch banned Dr Disrespect on June 26, 2020. Ever since, the streamer as well as his fans have had no clarity on the reason behind this ban. Unfortunately, Doc is just one of the many creators who’ve been suspended by Twitch with no proper justifications.
One such streamer is James ‘Phantoml0rd’ Varga. Back in 2016, he was a prominent name in the CS: GO community, but was banned for allegedly having financial relations with an in-game skin gambling website.
Unlike any other banned creator, Varga opposed his ban and filed a lawsuit against Twitch. To everyone’s surprise, he won the case recently where the platform admitted its misinterpretation towards the streamer’s offenses.

Long story short, Phantoml0rd and his team want Twitch to review its policy regarding bans. The platform must give adequate reasons to any streamer that it bans and avoid sending indefinite or permanent suspensions with a reason as “Other Terms of Service Violation”.
If Twitch actually incorporates the aforementioned changes in its policy, we might get to know the reason behind Dr Disrespect’s suspicious ban. Moreover, the Two-Time himself can sue the platform, and tread a path similar to Phantoml0rd.

Back in 2020, Dr Disrespect was one of the fastest growing steamers on Twitch. He had even won the awards such as the Streamer of the Year, and was on his way to become the biggest name on the platform.
Naturally, getting banned from Twitch was a huge set back for Doc. He not only suffered financially, but opened up about his struggles with anxiety. Even though he has now continued his streaming career on YouTube, a majority of Dr Disrespect’s fans still want him to return to Twitch.
Hence, winning a lawsuit against Twitch can be game-changing for Doc. He might return to the streaming service yet again and get more popular than ever.
