The streaming community has had some great announcements in the past few days. It all started with a cryptic video by Dr Disrespect followed by a 24-hour stream on YouTube. Towards the end of the stream, Doc finally made an appearance and had close to 500,000 concurrent viewers at a point. Following his Twitch ban, fans were eagerly waiting for his return. Then we find out that Shroud is returning to Twitch and the fans go crazy! Two of the biggest streamers are back in business and is everyone happy. But amidst all the good news, Ninja is nowhere to be found.

Arguably the world’s biggest streamer, Ninja has been in the news for quite some time now. When the Mixer Shutdown was announced, Ninja was suddenly a free agent and was free to stream anywhere he wanted. He also reportedly took home $30 million as his final payout. But instead of an instant move to some other platform, he went MIA for almost a month.

Then suddenly, he announced that he was going live on YouTube. Now there had been speculations about Ninja probably moving to YouTube at that time. But this stream was not backed by any exclusive contract with the platform. And that was it. That was basically the only stream of his that we saw on YouTube. Since then, he has uploaded videos on his channel but nothing more.

Ninja also Streamed on Twitch

Surprisingly, he also went live on Twitch with Dr. Lupo a few days ago. He is still the most followed creator there even after a year of absence. During that stream, he even said “I’m kind of like, in a thing but not really. Like, I’m allowed to see other people”. But, even that amounted to nothing since there is no exclusive contract. This leads us to the question- what exactly is he up to?

Dr Disrespect and Ninja both have Hollywood plans?

Recently, Hollywood Reporter wrote an epic about Ninja and his Hollywood dreams. Yes, Blevins is in fact eyeing a Hollywood gig and this was an amazing revelation. If this goes through, he could change the face of the streaming industry forever. He told the magazine that he was looking at “Movies, voice acting, cartoons.” Dr Disrespect is also reportedly working on a TV Show based on himself.

It could be possible that things are already in motion for Blevins. That could be the reason behind his absence from streaming. Well, not complete absence but the irregularity of his streams. But technically, streaming is how he shot to fame and it’s basically his bread and butter. So there is no doubt that he definitely needs a platform where he can stream in case things don’t go according to plan.

Earlier, a move back to Twitch seemed unlikely considering they had a bad break-up. But since he has already streamed there recently, a return could be on the cards. YouTube and Facebook are the other options but at this point, there is no concrete information.

The worst part is, there has been no recent indication of any kind that would suggest that he is onto something. For now, we’ll have to wait for him to make a move. His fans are waiting for a decision and we hope it comes soon.
