Dr DisRespect tried out Spellbreak on his YouTube live stream the other day, and the game looked outstanding. It can be a little challenging to get the hang of at first, but it is indeed a pretty decent battle royale game. The rise of the BR genre has given birth to several games that try to incorporate different abilities to weave through a narrative. Spellbreak follows the same ideals, structurally.

Dr DisRespect did not have much idea about spells and magic, but he is champion when it comes to battle royales. After completing the tutorial, he jumped right into the Battle Royale lobbies.

Dr DisRespect tries out a different Battle Royale game called Spellbreak

The game effectively uses environmental elements to cause havoc. Instead of guns and grenades, Spellbreak is full of fire, thunder, ice, and several such elements. What players have to do is find the right combination of mixtures for each game. The weapons are these elemental Gauntlets which have various abilities. These Gauntlets cast spells that affect the enemy severely.

Players need to choose a class for their Battleaxe. There are six different categories, such as Frostborn, Conduit, Pyromancer, Toxicologist, Stoneshaper, and Tempest. Simultaneously, players have two abilities in the game. Thus, they will have to equip two Gauntlets. Getting the right mix comes with time and practice.

There are also abilities in the game that enhance the play style. Runes and Chests grant players the ability to fly, teleport, control time, become invisible, cast smoke clouds, and much more.

Dr DisRespect mentioned that players need to take their time and get the combinations right. The game indeed seems to have a lot of potential in the BR genre.

With the growing cheaters in Warzone, most streamers are considering shifting to other games. Doc has not mentioned it directly, although he often speaks about cheaters in the game.

While Activision has taken measures to stop hackers from griefing tournaments and public games, the community is still concerned. Warzone is one of the most high-octane BR games out there right now, and it will be quite disappointing to see it being ruined by hackers.
