Hardly 24 hours into the release of the much awaited video game from EA Sports, FIFA 20 was slammed on social media by fans who were disappointed by the career mode in the game.
For a few years now, FIFA were criticised of neglecting the career mode which was supposed to be the highlight of the game on its inception. FIFA 20 had promised to bring not just new features, but it was also anticipated the the game would reignite the classic features like the career mode and the ultimate team.
But the fans were in for a major disappointment when they found a few bugs in the Artificial Intelligence powered game.
Fans took to twitter to express their disappointment. The outrage was upto such an extent that it started a hashtag “fix career mode” began trending on Twitter.
So now FIFA 20 is making seasons 75+ games long?
It’s disgraceful for a company to release a game with a key game mode this severely broken and with no communication with the fans onto when it will be finished.#FixCareerMode pic.twitter.com/kvvBpJn0NX

Unfortunately, what first seemed to be promising news re Career Mode, has now turned into an absolute nightmare. Too many underlying features are causing unrealistic outcomes, diminishing players’ experiences. Taking note is no longer enough, EA, we need change. #FixCareerMode

Career mode in #FIFA20 is in such a shocking state that I’m actually considering giving up on the game this year. Today, we’re trying to get #FixCareerMode trending. If you feel let down, lied to or misled about the game, tweet the hashtag and want you want fixed! ✊✊

This is the first time ever I actually asked for a refund for a video game. Career Mode is 100% broken and unplayable. What has @EASPORTSFIFA done? Nothing. False advertising, and horrible customer service. #FixCareerMode
