Adrien Broner and Shawn Porter fought on June 20, 2015, in the Battle of Ohio match. Porter hailed from Akron and Broner from Cincinnati. The fight ended with Porter winning by unanimous decision. The scorecards read 114-112, 115-111, and 118-108. Porter dominated most of the fight, landing powerful shots and keeping the pressure on. However, Broner had a moment in the 12th round and knocked down Porter with a hard left hook. He couldn’t capitalize on it. Moreover, Adrien earned $1.35 million from the fight, whereas Porter earned $1 million.

Now, eight years after the bout, why are we discussing it again? This is because of a past allegation against Porter. In his fight against Terence Crawford, people suspected Shawn of using his eyes to communicate with his father. Furthermore, this led to match-fixing accusations. However, finally, Porter has broken his silence on the incident.
