Emma Raducanu Moves 18 Spots Ahead of Serena Williams in WTA Rankings Following US Open 2021 Triumph

British teenager Emma Raducanu created history today by being the first player to win a Major as a qualifier. She was up against another exciting prospect, Canadian teenager Leylah Fernandez in the final of the US Open 2021. Both players will certainly go down in history on their recent achievements. 

Speaking about Emma Raducanu, by winning the US Open, she has surpassed the American legend Serena Williams in the WTA Rankings. After today’s result, the teenager will become the new World No. 28 whereas Williams will slip down the 41st spot on the rankings.

Reflecting on the match today, Emma managed to win yet another match in straight sets. She entered this event as a qualifier but sailed through right till the end. This was her first attempt in the final Grand Slam tournament of the season and finished off in style. This result has created headlines in the sporting world.

Emma Raducanu impressed at the All England Club this season 

Analyzing the British sensations season so far, she competed in the Wimbledon Championships and came as far as the fourth round. It was an optimistic result for the youngster, giving an indication of what to expect in the future.
