British tennis player Emma Raducanu has given the world the most incredible sporting story of 2021. The teenager won the US Open this year in her first appearance at the Grand Slam event.

Since her incredible triumph in New York, Raducanu’s popularity has soared and a relatively unknown player on the WTA Tour is now the name on everybody’s minds. She’s also collaborated with several brands, such as Evian water and the jewelry brand, Tiffany & Co.   

Emma Raducanu is the British Airways global brand ambassador

Recently, the newly crowned Grand Slam champion bagged yet another deal. She has signed up with the airline giant, British Airways.

She spoke on this exciting news and revealed, “Thrilled to join the British Airways family as a global brand ambassador! The airline has already been part of a special time for me, flying me home from the US Open. I look forward to working with the iconic British brand on some exciting projects!”

Raducanu revealed that after she won the US Open this year, she was flown back home by airline she just signed a deal with. Emma was recently also awarded the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award for 2021.  

Raducanu’s breathtaking 2021 season

Speaking of tennis, Raducanu first came to prominence during the Wimbledon Championships this year. She astonishingly reached the second week of the competition during her first Grand Slam appearance but, unfortunately, had to withdraw from the tournament midway during her fourth-round match.

Following that, she won the US Open in her first appearance. The 19-year-old came from qualifying and went all the way without dropping a single set. 

Now that the season is over, it will be interesting to see how she prepares herself for the upcoming season. All eyes will be on her when she steps on the courts once again.
