Anthony Joshua is supposed to face Kubrat Pulev next and Tyson Fury is matched up against Deontay Wilder. But Anthony Joshua has put out an interesting idea that puts a fun spin on the heavyweight division.

The current stance of the heavyweight division is quite power-packed. Anthony Joshua holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles. While Tyson Fury recently got his hands on the WBC, The Ring magazine and lineal titles since his win over Deontay Wilder this February.

Deontay Wilder immediately after his loss to Tyson Fury, triggered his rematch clause. He hopes to reinstate himself as the champ after his next fight against Fury. Fury vs Wilder 3 was supposed to go down this July. The Trilogy bout was set up to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year.

Unfortunately, that stands postponed until there is further clarity on the whole pandemic situation. Another fight that faced the same fate is Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev. Originally scheduled for the 20th of June, this fight too will take place only once the pandemic comes under control.

An initial idea suggested that the winners of the above two fights would eventually meet to battle it out for the undisputed heavyweight crown. So based on the current scenario, the heavyweight division has some major bouts coming up.

He basically suggested that Kubrat Pulve and Deontay Wilder take what’s their due from the promoters and step aside and let the champs battle it out.

Anthony Joshua tweeted, “It would be amazing to tell Pulev, ‘It’s best if you step aside’ and tell Wilder,’ Enjoy your Alabama chicken while we get it cracking in the UK’ That fight needs to happen. There will never be another time like this again.”

By ‘a time like this’ Anthony Joshua refers to how currently all the heavyweight titles lie in the UK, but not with one fighter. A fight between him and Tyson Fury would crown one of them the ultimate British heavyweight champion. This fight will end with one of them waling out with all the titles. And this time may never return again. They need to act fast and act now!
