When in 2013, Grand Theft Auto 5 and its online component, GTA Online came out, it took the gaming industry by storm. But by the end of 2014, the hype was quite down and fans were skeptical if GTA 5 will survive any longer. But surprisingly it did, and the one reason why the hype pushed back up was because of a role-playing server by NoPixel.

The server was a game changer as players were able to play and maintain a certain character throughout the game similar to a life simulation. But as of lately, the NoPixel server is closed indefinitely and no one knows if it will come back full-fledged or not. However, a new server is on its way for fans to play on, and this server is launched by none other than OTF Founder and Rapper, Lil Durk.

Grand Theft Auto will now have a new private server for RP fans

In his recent tweet from September 1st, the 29-year-old American rapper, Lil Durk, revealed that he is launching a new RP server on September 4th, by the name of ‘Trenches’. Notably, the biggest highlight of this server is not Durk himself but a varied list of songs from upcoming artists and rappers.

The most striking fact was that the server will have a lite server just like Tee Grizzley’s Grizzley World RP server, while also having a NoPixel sort of premium server with a $35.00 USD to get selected for the whitelist of the server.

Why are ‘Trenches’ so special to Lil Durk?

Apart from the fact that Trenches was actually a song that Lil Durk released in 2016, with OTF Ikea, Doodie Lo, 300 OJ, and Lamron JL, it is also going to be his RP server’s name.

This is also a Metonymy for the fact that the location of GTA 5 is actually based near an Ocean.

Thus, Trenches is a very good match-up for both the rapper’s representation and the fact that it is based in the coastal city of San Andreas. Notably, last month, Lil Durk suffered an eye injury and thus it is a perfect comeback for the popular rapper in the field.
