‘Epitome of Everything’: When Serena Williams Praised Meghan Markle on Mental Health Aspects

American legend Serena Williams has been one of the most exceptional players on the Tour during her career. The manner in which she has carried herself both on and off the court is second to none. 

Due to her global presence and fame, Serena Williams has many high-profile friends amongst the who’s who of the world. One such friend is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.

Serena Williams is set to attend mental health virtual summit with Prince Harry 

Harry works with the organization BetterUp, which is involved in ensuring the mental fitness of people. At a virtual summit organized by the organization, Harry and Serena will share the stage. 

Given her upcoming participation in the event, Serena’s earlier comments about Meghan Markle, the former “Suits” star, resurfaced.

In March last year, praising Meghan’s mental resolve, Williams stated, “Meghan is a great person and I think the epitome of strength, the epitome of confidence, the epitome of just selflessness, and the epitome of everything is just her and everything that she’s gone through.”

Coming to tennis, Williams has not been seen on a tennis court since the Wimbledon Championships exit. Sadly, she injured herself during the opening stages of the match and was forced to withdraw from the first-round match. 

Post that, she decided to skip the US Open as she was dealing with a hamstring injury. She even missed the Australian Open 2022, as she is still not feeling up to the mark.

Nonetheless, she is expected to make a return soon on the Tour. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her competing once again against the best players in the game. All eyes will be on her when she steps again on the courts.
