Escape from Tarkov, the indie MMO first-person shooter, is expected to release later this year. With hardcore and realistic combat, this game is really unique because of the amalgamation of PvP, PvE, MMORPG, and battle royale elements. This game is like a savage upgrade of the Battle Royale genre.
The closed beta version of the game is still online since 2017, accessible to all the players, no matter what pre-order edition(there are 4) they bought. Battlestate Games, the developers for this game, have released a new trailer for the game featuring a new map. The “Streets of Tarkov” map had been previously confirmed by the devs.

In an interview with the PC Gaming show, developer Nikita Buyanov of Battlestate Games said that this map is going to be the biggest and the most detailed location in the game. This map is in stark contrast with the other maps in the game.

All the other locations, Woods, The Lab, Customs, Shoreline, etc., are really different in feel and gameplay. For starters, the other maps are smaller and more limited. This map will really fit in with the game’s free roam feature. But this is only the biggest map as of now. Since the world of Escape from Tarkov is still expanding, the devs might include a bigger location than this in the future
New patch to further improve Escape from Tarkov
Although the closed beta is still online, it does not have an official release date yet. The devs have said that Escape from Tarkov is still under development, and are still working on improving the maps and working on expanding the world even more.

Buyanov added that the “Customs” map will be expanded by approximately 40% in the new 12.7 update patch. This update will be followed by yet another one that will fix and improve the skill systems in the game.
All this adding up to the expectations people have from this game, given its interesting concept of combining various modes of gameplay into one single thread. Are you excited for this title?
