Is Assassin’s Creed Developer Working on an Upcoming Star Wars Game?

Ubisoft has a number of games in development at its numerous studios. A Splinter Cell Remake, a number of Assassin’s Creed games, and probably a Far Cry game, but they have one more game in development, based on the Star Wars universe.

Recently, a creative director working at Ubisoft has dropped a few hints at what fans could expect from the developer in 2023. And it was not very subtle either. And it seems like they are working on an upcoming game set in a beloved galaxy!

In 2021, Ubisoft and Lucasfilm announced a partnership where Ubisoft would be developing a game based on the Star Wars Universe. It was later revealed that the game is being developed at Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment. The studio that worked on The Division and The Division 2.

Ever since then, fans have been waiting for an update on this game. There were some rumors saying that it would be an open-world title, which is not surprising given the fact that everything Ubisoft touches turns into an Open World game nowadays.

Finally, we got an actual update on the game itself. A while ago, Ubisoft creative director Julian Gerighty tweeted a picture of Star Wars with logos for Lucasfilm, Ubisoft, and Massive Entertainment below it.

The image was accompanied by the text “Happy New Year to you all. 2023 is going to be huge for us. Join the adventure.”

This seems to have sparked quite some interest!

It led to rumors that maybe the game is pretty close to its announcement, and probably even its launch.

Some are saying this game is one of the most ambitious projects Ubisoft has ever worked on and it would boast a living, breathing universe. The biggest feature is said to be its seamless travel between planets similar to No Man’s Sky.

It seems like ‘The Force’ is with sci-fi fans in 2023!

With the announcement of this Ubisoft game, we have several Star Wars games to look forward to in 2023, like the Knights of The Old Republican Remake. Another one is being made by Quantic Dreams and directed by the infamous David Cage. We all know what Quantic Dreams game would be. Another one is already confirmed as the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
