Is KSI about to take on the UFC champion?

KSI made his highly anticipated return in the ring against FaZe Temperrr in January after defeating Swarmz and Luis Pineda on the same night back in 2022. After defeating Temperrr, JJ took his shot at long-time rival Jake Paul for a super fight by the end of 2023. But before stepping into the ring against his nemesis, he eyes a chance in the UFC world.

Although JJ is open to facing the Champion, he has made it very clear that he won’t be fighting him in MMA. Recently, JJ appeared on BBC Radio 1 where he had to play a fun game of standing or sitting. In this game, guests have to call other prominent figures and guess if they are standing or sitting.

While playing, the current UFC Welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, got the call from KSI. While Edward was on the call, the host of the show asked JJ if he was open to a match with Leon. Hearing the statement, KSI burst into his signature laugh and took a few moments to answer.

“Definitely not in MMA, definitely not in MMA! I mean, we could spar in boxing,” said JJ nervously. The world-renowned YouTuber made it clear that he is open to challenging the champion, but not on his turf. However, Edward may not be a pro boxer, but his strength and endurance will most definitely make him one of the greater challenges JJ has ever faced in his career.

So far none of them have made any official statements about their matchup, but the fact that both of them are based in the UK, organizing a sparring session may not be much of a hassle.
