Known for making YouTube videos with an insane amount of money being given away in each of them; his popularity has only increased year by year. And the same applies to his social media presence as well. With 14 million followers on Twitter, it’s incredibly hard not to ignore him, not even for Formula 1 drivers like Lando Norris.

“Happy birthday MrBeast” tweeted MrBeast to himself. And Lando pitched in his wishes by tweeting, “hbd”. Things got a bit interesting when Jimmy replied back saying, “Thx, let’s race sometime”.

His popularity rose dramatically when the world went into lockdown in 2020. Stuck at home and with nothing else to do, people logged on to see their favorite superstar livestreaming his video games.

The Briton took it a step further when he launched his own Esports team called “Team Quadrant”. “Quadrant is something I’ve wanted to do for a long while,” Lando said to BBC Sport. “While racing will be a focus and be a bigger passion than almost any other Esports, Quadrant is hopefully going to be expanding into many other different categories of esports and games.”

Apart from Lando, even his McLaren F1 team has an Esports team called McLaren Shadows. Based in the MTC, McLaren Shadow competes in some of the well-known series in the world of Esports. With high-profile names jumping into the Esports scene in the last few years, it will be interesting to see how big this environment can grow.
