It is very rare to find any Hip-Hop lover who isn’t familiar with the name Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is one of the most recognized artists in the global rapping scene. He has earned a plethora of accolades for his works and holds a reputation in the community that is rarely rivaled by anyone else. He is known for his unorthodox feats, such as playing FIFA and chilling with kids on the other side of the world.

Kendrick’s progressive musical styles and socially conscious songwriting make him one of the most respected and influential entities in the industry. But not just his songs, his humanitarian efforts have also given him the spotlight as a global activist, who is fighting for a change.  

This year Kendrick released an album that saw a lot of success among the fans as well as the critics. But back then, during the launch of the album, Kendrick did something that was quite unexpected for an international music star like him. Instead of throwing huge events or parties to celebrate the release, Kendrick went to Ghana and spent time with the children.

Just a few months ago, on May 2022, a clip of Kendrick was going viral on the Internet. In the video, Kendrick could be seen playing FIFA and having a good time with a bunch of kids in Ghana. There was no explanation as to why the rap star went to the nation, but according to the speculations, it was to celebrate his latest album back then, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.

Kendrick Lamar, being a FIFA fan, was not a very surprising sight. As the world-renowned music star has been seen enjoying the sport of soccer quite many times. He even played a game of IRL soccer with the natives while his stay in the country. Kendrick had once stated that he was an avid fan of the English soccer team, Tottenham Hotspur.  

The album that Kendrick celebrated in Ghana in turn proceeds to win the “FAVORITE HIP-HOP ALBUM” Award at the prestigious American Music Award. Kendrick Lamar came on top, among other massive names in the nominations, such as Future, Gunna, Lil Durk, and Polo G.
