First, the soundtrack has been revamped for next-gen. There are 150 new songs added to the media library. Artists range from Tame Impala, Dreamville, and Tyla Yahweh to Lil Baby, Post Malone, and Rick Ross.

Second, 2K have actually added some cool new animations. Again, the full extent of these changes will be realized when the game is widely available. One of the coolest leaked clips is that of a bounce alley-oop. They have also fixed moves like the ‘Curry Slide‘.

One of the few early controversies of the game is the price of a basketball. While you must be wondering what that means, the explanation isn’t pleasant.

2K has rental courts for people to use to play with friends or improve their game. These courts are quite cheap, with you needing to spend only 150 VC on a four-hour session. However, it turns out that players need to fork out 25k VC on a basketball to access these courts.

The excessive VC costs don’t end there, with cosmetic changes like buying slides requiring 10K VC. The negativity increases, as player development screens have revealed that throwing lobs and finishing alley-oops will be the best way to level up your player, something that all old 2K games have required.

However, we end this on a positive note. One of the best features of the new hardware of the consoles is reduced loading times. That comes in especially handy with 2K, which is known for its slow simulation speed and loading times. A game can load up in less than 5 seconds now.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, with more features becoming common knowledge with the worldwide next-gen release. Watch this space for further updates!
