Unofficial Accessories Reportedly Soon to Be a No-Go for Xbox Users

The recent update from Xbox might be a disappointment for the gaming community. Microsoft is putting an end to the use of unauthorized accessories with Xbox devices. Every gamer thinks of modifying their console devices for a better gaming experience. While these accessories certainly improve the gaming experience buying licensed ones can cut a deep hole in players’ pockets.

However, it looks like Xbox has finally made up its mind. From the coming month, no third-party unauthorized accessories can be paired or linked with Xbox devices. While the decision is made, Xbox users are currently having a hard time adjusting to it.

Recently a trusted insider shared on their Reddit profile that Xbox’s new policy bans all the unofficial accessories. Not just that but they mentioned that Xbox’s policy will be effective from the 12th of November- “Xbox’s new policy — say goodbye to unofficial accessories from November thanks to error ‘0x82d60002′”.

Previously many users dropped their queries about why they were facing errors while pairing up accessories with their Xbox device. They said that while trying to connect the accessory, they received warning messages. Now it looks like this happened because of Xbox’s new strict policy to keep their console out of third-party unofficial gear’s reach.

Xbox not only warned their users with the message but dropped a list of authorized accessories that can be paired perfectly with the Xbox device. This list is available for users on their official website. However, only the latest version of Xbox console users are receiving this warning message. Nonetheless, the days of modifying the console devices are over, at least for Xbox users.

Xbox’s new credit card: what fans can expect?

While Xbox users might feel truly disappointed with its new policy for unofficial accessories, they might feel better knowing about Xbox’s credit card. Yes! After PlayStation, Microsoft also released its Xbox Mastercard in the United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. This card is usable from the 21st of September and offers delicious rewards. For example, players can receive points for each dollar they spend on games. Additionally, players can get 5x points on eligible Microsoft store products, and 3x points from Disney Hotstar and Netflix.

Xbox credit card users can also earn up to 5,000 bonus points after their debut purchase with the card. How cool is that? Along with these, Xbox credit cards will receive many other rewards. Therefore, Xbox users shouldn’t worry about the company’s new policy on unofficial accessories. Microsoft will surely take care of their users by offering them more surprises like Xbox Mastercard.
