343 Responds to Angry Gamers With Much-Needed Halo Infinite Update

After the release of Halo Infinite multiplayer, fans were not happy with the slow battle pass progression system. In fact, the devs also were made aware of this issue and they promised to fix it. And now it looks like developer 343 industries has kept their promise.
They have updated the entire battle pass progression system of the game.

1st Game = 300XP
2nd Game = 200XP
3rd Game = 200XP
4th Game = 100XP
5th Game = 100XP
6th Game = 100XP
7th+ Game = 50XPWe believe this increase will help address those slower initial payouts while also benefiting those of you jumping on each and every day.

When we made our initial change to progression, which added Daily "Play 1 Game" Challenges, updated Weekly Challenges, and doubled the duration of 2XP Boosts, we promised that we'd monitor the data and make additional changes if needed. Now, it's time to follow up on that.

They increased the total XP that players earn on finishing one match. But this only applies to the first six matches of the day. This means from the seventh match onwards, the total XP earned will be less than the first six matches. Let’s have a look at the entire progression system in more detail:
- 1st game- 300XP
- 2nd game- 200XP
- 3rd game- 200XP
- 4rth game- 100XP
- 5th game- 100XP
- 6th game- 100XP
- 7th game- 50XpP

Halo Infinite: improved battle pass progression system
The devs have made some significant changes to the battle pass progression system. And now it won’t be difficult for the players to earn points and make progress through the battle pass. It’s a moment of relief for the fans because it’s the only thing that was bothering the players since the game’s release.
So, on 30th Nov 2021, the devs rolled out these changes, and John Junyszek announced the good news on Twitter. For the fans who are unfamiliar with John Junyszek, he’s the community manager at 343 industries.

In fact, the newly improved battle pass progression brings new daily and weekly challenges as well. In one of his tweets, John says: “When we made our initial change to progression, which added Daily ‘Play 1 Game’ Challenges, updated Weekly Challenges, and doubled the duration of 2XP Boosts.”
As of now, Halo players are very happy, and they are grateful to the devs for making these changes. But some players think there’s still some hope for further improvements.

Halo Infinite multiplayer is out now and is currently free to play on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Fans can download it from the official Steam Store website.
The game officially comes out in December.
