In the past couple of years, MrBeast achieved stardom after becoming the underdog YouTuber on the platform. He went from 0 to 100 million subscribers in a decade, a dream he’d set always. Plus, fans referred to him as one of the unique and out-of-the-box creators, as he always stepped out of his comfort zone to create content.

This also paved the way for him to churn massive amounts of money as sources reported millions in his account. For instance, his 2019 net worth floated around $44 million and traveled to $100 million in 2023. However, when there’s money, there are taxes, and he had to go through a lot of them. After all, the North Carolina resident has to obey the tax laws and had to share a piece of his net worth with the government.

But there was never a point when Jimmy openly spoke about this topic except on the H3 podcast. There, he dived deep into it, explaining how it affected business.

MrBeast pens down thoughts about taxes and how he manages to tackle them

Every penny earned comes with a price as the government sets certain tax laws based on them. For instance, every state and country has a set of rules that every resident needs to follow while paying taxes. And because of that, each person forms an opinion based on how it affects them.

Like others, MrBeast also had his opinion about this topic. He divides them into two, talking about each separately. First, he stresses the fact that his giveaways caused problems as they come off as easy viewership from fans. He says, “If you’re not giving away $100,000, people aren’t watching your videos.”

Second, Jimmy revealed that either he or the winner has to pay taxes on the products/gifts he gives away. And if he makes the participant pay, it does not look well on his character, becoming a serious problem. After all, the government charges taxes on the majority of owned items, so someone has to pay for them.

“That’s where it makes things a little weird on me because if I make them pay taxes on stuff then I look like a piece of sh-t, but if I pay taxes on it on something that’s already not really profitable,” he said.

To mention numbers, MrBeast’s net worth was somewhere around $44 million in 2019, so he roughly paid $18,548,864 in tax. Compared to that, Forbes confirms his net worth is around $500 million. So, if that is true, Jimmy will be paying around $211,208,864. Well, being rich doesn’t come cheap.
