Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the finest of social simulation games, thanks to its wide variety of characters, or villagers, as the game calls them. The latest game has many new villagers along with older ones who made their way from the old games. But some old villagers couldn’t find their way into New Horizons.

Nintendo released this game in 2020 for their latest console, Nintendo Switch. It became a major hit among the fans like the series’ past games. In the game, players are stranded on a deserted island. Further, players must improve the island and invite new villagers to settle there.

The players get to choose the villagers from a wide variety. New Horizons comes with adorable new villagers. However, the new ones arrive at the sacrifice of some old villagers. Further, some unique villagers in the past game didn’t make it to the future games. Let’s look at some of those Animal Crossing villagers who got deleted.

Poko

Poko is a jock cub villager who appeared in Animal Forest e+. This game never made its way out of the “land of the rising sun.” It is a Japan-exclusive game and the updated GameCube port version of the original game.

Moreover, Poko is Ike’s son, the cranky bear villager in New Horizons. Ike was also a villager from Animal Forest e+ like him, but he found his way to the latest game. So, it would be nice to see the father-son duo someday in New Horizons.

Champ

Who doesn’t like jock villagers? Jock villagers are famous for their sporty and cheery nature. So, a monkey as a jock villager would be pretty adorable. Animal Forest e+ introduced the jock monkey villager, Champ.

Champ was a favorite and his catchphrase, “choo CHOO,” was quite famous among fans. Champ later appeared in the games of Wild World and City Folk. However, it has never made an appearance since New Leaf. It would be nice seeing the jock monkey again in Animal Crossing.

Wolf Link

The Legend of Zelda is another famous video game series from Nintendo. So, it makes sense to collaborate between Zelda and Animal Crossing. Nintendo released Legends of Zelda amiibo cards for New Leaf.

Players could only get Wolf Link upon scanning their amiibo card. It was the third character from the Zelda universe besides Link and Princess Zelda to become villagers in an Animal Crossing game. It is among the rarest villagers available in animal crossing history.

Bow & Meow

You have seen robotic cats and dogs programmed to mimic animals’ behavior. Similarly, Animal Crossing also introduced a dog and cat villager in Animal Forest e+. But these villagers had a screen instead of a normal animal face.

Meow was a peppy cat villager, while Bow was a lazy dog villager. Both became famous among fans for their unique appearance. These characters were only available when players had their respective e-cards in Animal Forest e+. But sadly, these two unique villagers never made it to any other Animal Crossing game.

Carrot

Cow villagers always had a split fanbase, some liked them, and some didn’t. However, the Animal Forest e+ had a Normal cow villager, Carrot, whom fans adored. But this cow villager never appeared in other Animal Crossing games.

As the name suggests, Carrot is a cow villager who has a resemblance similar to a carrot. She had orange fur and green hair on her head. Fans would be delighted if Nintendo got back this deleted villager in the latest New Horizons.

Shinabiru

The Japanese exclusive Animal Forest e+ came up with many exciting villagers, including Shinabiru. He was a jock duck villager created by manga artist Takayuki Mizushima.

Shinabiru was a very famous villager among Animal Crossing fans. They adored this duck villager wearing an MVP t-shirt. But this jock duck never appeared on any other Animal Crossing game.

Tarou was a purple-colored wolf who was interested in sports and bodybuilding. The developers should try to get this wolf back into the series. Fans would absolutely love to play with Tarou.
