According to How Long to Beat, Baldur’s Gate 3 needs at least 39 hours to complete the main story. If you want to complete the main story along with the side quests, it should take around 73 hours. And if you are a hardcore completionist, then you will have to spend 77 hours in the game. Although there are some speedrunners who are rolling in under an hour, which is significantly better.

But this speedrunner has set themselves apart from anyone else. This player, named Mae, has completed Baldur’s Gate 3 in a world record time of 10 minutes and 3 seconds. Fans are absolutely stunned by this unique achievement. They have since broken their own record to speedrun in 7 minutes 54 seconds.

The time you most likely spend with the character creator is exactly the time Mae needed to swift through Act 1 and Act 2 and achieve one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s many endings. Although Mae had to follow different paths, they did some real sequence breaking, and the ending they got was probably the darkest one of all the probable endings of BG3. They used Enhanced Leap, Misty Step Spell, and Shadowheart’s Sanctuary Spell to jump across the terrain and avoid fights. And boosted the character strength to 17.

How Was It Possible to Complete Baldur’s Gate 3 in 10 Mintues

This achievement didn’t come through normal means. Mae used ‘Gale’ as an origin character. There is a magic orb inside Gale’s chest called the Netherese Destruction Orb. This magic orb absorbs energy around the world and can eventually blast and extinguish cities if there is no sense of energy. So, Gale needs to consume magic items in order to survive.

The goddess Mystra was Gale’s lover. Earlier in Act 2, Mystra entreats Gale to blow up his orb, destroying everything around him, including the Absolute, the game’s main antagonist. This obviously leads to the end of the game, but the ending will probably be the darkest one. If Gale blows up the orb, it will not only destroy the Absolute, but it will also free the Illithid tadpoles from the Absolute’s cages. These tadpoles will then turn themselves into Mind Flayers, who will then take the throne and the Sword Coast, which will lead to a catastrophic and dark end.

It may seem that instead of an ending, this looked like some “game over” thing. Mae also took advantage of the spells and character creator. But any of these were not unfair usages, and the ending was truly one of the many endings of the game. We should all hail Mae for this incredible feat.
