What was the Foam-Pit incident in TwitchCon 2022?

The Lenovo Legion Booth at Twitch Convention had hosted a Face Off. Here they had set up a foam pit where streamers would try to knock each other off from raised podiums using padded poles. At first glance, it seemed to be harmless, but tragedy befell almost on everyone who stood on the podiums.
