A Final Fantasy 14 Player Makes History by Becoming the First to Achieve All 2000+ Achievements

Finishing a game is always a special peace of mind for players. And an FF player has recently done this! It’s not really easy to accomplish all the achievements in FF as those were designed to be completed in the hardest ways possible. But this Final Fantasy XIV player doesn’t seem to have any problem with it!

Final Fantasy 14 is known as the toughest game when it comes to completing all the in-game achievements. And it was not surprising that no one could ever achieve this accolade of ticking off all the achievements on the huge list until now. After gaming really dedicatedly for a span of 10 years, this FF14 player has proven that even the toughest quest can be cracked!

The first player to achieve a 100% completion in Final Fantasy 14

Final Fantasy 14 was released way back on August 27, 2023. This MMORPG has a huge list of tough and strenuous achievements. Not just its 10-year-old release date, its regular expansion updates, and the need for huge hours of gameplay, these achievements have become tougher and tougher.

But after ten years, we finally have a worthy heir to the empty throne. According to a Reddit post, a warrior of light on the Garuda server has managed to complete all 2,751 achievements the game has to offer. With the analysis from data-tracking tools like Lalaachivements and FFXIVcollect, this achievement got a strong base too.

Although this accolade never came easy, In order to complete all the achievements, the player had to complete the main story, which was ever-growing because of the timely expansions and updates. Along with that, he has to finish all the innumerable sidequests as well as obtain all the collectibles. But things went harder when he had to encounter all five ultimate raids, engage in PvP battles that differed drastically throughout time, class, and difficulty, complete a huge amount of dungeons and hunts, and many more.

The journey has not ended yet

It seems like the completionist just manages to sit on the bench for a while, amidst the journey. Because there are no signs of stopping in Final Fantasy 14. Square Enix has recently launched patch 6.5, officially named Growing Light, on October 3. However, this is part 1 of the expansion, whereas part 2 is set to be released in mid-January 2024.

As stated by the director and producer, Naoki Yoshida, the focus of this patch will be mainly on the storyline. So, we are going to see a huge expansion in the storyline. This expansion will depict the story of Zero. Zero is one of the most popular characters in the FF universe, and this character is right now watching The First before meeting Ryne. That means it’s time for the completionist to wake up from the rest and continue from where he left off.

To complete more than 2,000 achievements in a single game is a huge ask. This feather in the player’s crown is a testament to his commitment and obsession with the game. But it’s just the interval of the show, as the climax is yet to be revealed because the Growing Light expansion is here.
