In 2021, MrBeast launched two of his biggest philanthropy projects of all time. First, he promised to plant 20 million trees under his #teamtrees project, and later, he announced to clean 30 million pounds of trash from the ocean as a part of #teamseas.
For both projects, MrBeast put out donation requests, as he wanted the entire community to contribute to his success. So, during this time, Great.com CEO Erik Bergman took the opportunity to donate a massive amount for #teamseas.

Back in 2021, the CEO found MrBeast’s project on the internet and instantly wanted to donate to it. He proposed a $1.2 million deal with a request of spending time with Jimmy and his crew. While his initial terms only extended to help the good cause, Erik was also looking out for his business.
And he very well knew that he had to pay a hefty price to make it successful. Back in 2021, MrBeast had earned enough respect in the industry, ranking him on the list of famous celebrities.

So, to strike a deal, Erik posted a tweet on his account, tagging the duo and waiting for a confirmation. It was just a matter of minutes before he got his approval as the news spread like fire. Interestingly, MrBeast and Mark also mentioned it on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Later, the CEO flew to North Carolina to meet with the team and had a blast working with them. Although, he set a very well example for every entrepreneur, that they had to learn to grab the opportunity, despite it looking impossible.
