Starfield received staggering reviews from the Gamescom 2023 audience

Starfield had its very own presentation at Gamescom 2023 hosted by game director Todd Howard. The presentation also contained never-seen-before gameplay of the title for the fans present in the audience. Now industry insider Karim Jovian has ensembled the thoughts of the fans on the Starfield gameplay.

Jovian shared that the 30-minute gameplay shown to the fans was actually an edited version of the first two hours of the game. This 30-minute gameplay experience was enough to mesmerize the fans present, with many praising the look of the game. The fans were in awe of the scenery and lighting present in the game.

However, the main critique shared by the fans was about the faces looking outdated. However, the helmets masked this blemish of the game. Fans loved Starfield’s sound effects and soundtrack too. Furthermore, the title’s voice performances garnered a lot of praise.

What were the views of the fans on Starfield’s gameplay?

With the appearance of the game triumphing in the hearts of the fans, the only thing left for the fans to review was gameplay. Bethesda has become notorious for releasing titles containing bugs in the gameplay. However, unlike their previous entries, this title seems to be a step up.

The combat sequences both with guns and with spaceships got the support of fans, with some claiming the reload animations were “surprisingly slick”. Furthermore, the enemy hit feedback was also far superior, compared to early Bethesda titles like Fallout 4.

Having created a positive impression at Gamescom, it remains to be seen how fans feel when they get their hands on the full game. Meanwhile, the response at Gamescom will surely ease the hearts of Bethesda devs. Furthermore, a fan has also teased something new related to the Xbox-exclusive game, claiming “Friday, something big is coming”.

Starfield comes out on September 6 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
