To embark on the task of building a house in the game, players must first make their way to Tarrey Town, located in Northeastern Hyrule near the Akkala Highlands. Once there, they will encounter two key characters, Hudson and Rhondson. In this title, the couple has a child named Mattison, and they are currently worried about her desire to leave home and return to Gerudo Town.

Hudson, especially, is deeply affected by the thought of his daughter’s journey and requests that Link spend time with her. This initiates the side quest titled “Mattison’s Independence.” After initiating the quest, you have to find Mattison. She can be found either strolling around the town or in her room, situated upstairs from where Rhondson and Hudson could be found.

Engaging in a conversation with Mattison will kick-start a short questline that involves following her around town. Her first destination will be two residents near the Tarry Town fountain, where she will inquire about the Gerudo. The correct response to her question is “Vaba.”

After this, Mattison will request to go visit her father down the hill. But she is blocked by the guard who is asking for money to ride the nearby tram. You will notice a convenient plank of wood close to the location that can serve as a suitable place for using the ascend skill.

Upon asking, you will find yourself inside a closed storeroom. After opening the door, they will encounter Rhondson, who will express gratitude and reward them with Hudson Cutouts. These cutouts can be conveniently positioned in front of the “guard” to obstruct their line of sight. After this, Mattison can easily run away.

The last step is to meet Mattison down near Hudson, who is standing next to a Hot Air Balloon (directly across from the Tram). Hudson expresses his desire to paint the balloon and requests ten Sundelions. These Sundelions can be located near the worksite or the “Sky Islands.” After obtaining the required Sundelions, you will witness a brief cutscene, concluding the side quest successfully.

After the end of the side quest, you can speak to Rhondson to buy a house and two rooms for 1500 Rupees.

How to unlock farming?

To unlock the farm, you need to complete the “Teach Me a Lesson” quest line. To initiate the quest, you need to travel to Hateno Village, where you can participate in a history lesson held at the local school. The children in the village are eager to attend the lesson but express their disinterest in hearing about the ancient Calamity that occurred 10,000 years ago. They question why they need to know about such an ancient incident.

The players have to make their way to the northwest and head to Kakariko Village. There should be a detailed picture for the children to see, which will assist in convincing the children to show interest in the teaching. After that, you will be tasked with cooking a monster curry.
